How to calculate the revenue your website leads can bring (free calculator)

2026-10-23

Most businesses know how many people visit their website, but not what those visitors are worth. You can estimate it with four numbers, and it takes about two minutes.

The four numbers

1. Monthly visitors. Find this in your website analytics for a typical month.

2. Visitor-to-lead rate. The share of visitors who enquire, book a call or sign up. Divide leads by visitors and multiply by 100.

3. Lead-to-customer rate. The share of leads who end up buying. Divide customers by leads and multiply by 100.

4. Average sale value. What a typical new customer pays you.

The formula

Leads = visitors × lead rate. Customers = leads × close rate. Monthly revenue = customers × average sale value. Multiply by 12 for a yearly figure.

A worked example

Say 5,000 people visit each month, 3% become leads, 20% of leads become customers, and each customer is worth S$1,500. That gives 150 leads, 30 customers and S$45,000 a month, or S$540,000 a year.

What to do with the answer

Change one number at a time to see which improvement is worth the most. A small rise in your lead rate or close rate often beats a big push for more traffic, because it multiplies everything after it.

Remember this is revenue, not profit, and it assumes your rates stay the same each month. Use it as a planning guide, not a forecast.

Try it with your own numbers
